7 Days Old~Baby "J"

Meet seven day old "J", my newest baby plan member. She is the third newborn girl I have photographed this month and I had so much fun. She is so tiny and so sweet!

Nine Month Old Baby "A"

Baby "A" was here this morning for her nine month session and I just cannot believe how fast time flies. It seems like only yesterday she was here for her newborn session. She is such an adorable little girl and I just love the brown polka dot dress she wore today. Here's a sneak peek for her mommy and daddy.

Six Months Old

Baby "L" was here on Friday for his six month session and isn't he cute in all his John Deere clothing. Of course I had to get a shot of him naked....since I rarely let a baby leave here without doing a couple of shots in the nude. We also ventured outdoors for a few shots. His mom was hoping to get a shot of him sucking his thumb and I think we got it!

11 Days Old

After photographing several newborn boys over the past few months, baby "E" was my second newborn girl this month. She was such a sweetheart and slept most of the time that she was here. Her parents were here about two and a half weeks ago for their maternity session and were anticipating baby "E's" arrival at the end of July.......as you can see she decided to come a few weeks early! Here's a sneak peek for her mommy and daddy.

I have never shared a photo of myself on the blog before, but here goes. I am so much happier BEHIND the camera! LOL My mom, stepdad, sister, and brother-in-law came over to celebrate my husband's birthday last weekend and my mom asked if we could go down to my studio for a quick family photo since we haven't had one taken in years. I think it turned out pretty good considering I used the self-timer on my camera. I only wish our clothing had coordinated a little bit better.

15 Days Old

Baby "A" was here on Thursday for her newborn portrait session. Just look at her pretty head full of hair! She is absolutely gorgeous and her mommy and daddy are so proud to have her. The photo session went very smoothly and she was the sweetest baby.

Newborn sessions are normally scheduled during your infant's first two weeks of life. This is the best time to capture those precious new moments and the sleepy stage. Newborns are "squishy" during this time frame and it is easier to photograph your baby in poses similar to the ones above. Nothing photographs better than your baby's bare skin, so most of the photos will be taken without clothing. These sessions typically last a couple of hours to allow for feedings and diaper changes. Parents should also be prepared to be in some of the photos.
